ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Miami – USA

The Roman calendar that we have inherited does not necessarily belong to us. The ancestral peoples observed the stars and by measuring the solstices and equinoxes they learned when it was the best moment for planting, pruning, composting, and harvesting.  They developed a relationship with the important dates of the calendar, which gave rise to the rites of passage and celebrations that marked the identity of communities and peoples.
